About the Game

The game will be a endless running / 3D auto-scrolling game.

The aim of the game is to make it the furtherest while gaining the best high score. Flipper will be positioned in the middle / bottom of the screen while the camera would be set at a 45 degree angle above him with limited movement from left to right.

The environment of the game will be set underwater. The environment could be made up of many different assets such as colorful reefs, ship wrecks, other sea life etc.

To keep up energy while swimming away, Flipper will need to eat fish on the way while swimming away. By doing this, flipper will keep his energy up. This will be shown through a meter at the top of the screen. If the player misses to many fish then Flipper will run out of energy causing him to be caught. There would be a variety of different fish to eat to keep the game interesting. - these could possibly give Flipper different amounts of energy.

There will be a few objects and obstacles to avoid. These will include:
- Fishing lines with hooks dropping down randomly.
- Fishing nets. Would cause flipper to get caught up.
- Floating poison container (googled threats to dolphins and human pollution is a major threet).

- Divers with underwater cameras (like on Nemo). The flash would cause flippers eye sight to become blurry for a certain amount of time - making the game become much harder for that amount of time.

I also want the game to contain power ups but am yet to decide what these could be.

To help come up with all these ideas I have been doing a lot of research in order to find out as much as I can about dolphins and the way they live.
The website I have resorted to the most is the following:
